Developing a prototyping sandbox for AI solutions
The Challenge
Develop a prototyping sandbox that enables FEDRO to test AI-based innovation ideas in a structured, rapid and practical manner and to make informed implementation decisions.
Innovative AI ideas are constantly emerging in the public sector, but they often get stuck in the concept phase. Regulatory requirements, organisational constraints and a lack of test environments make it difficult to test new approaches quickly and realistically. This is exactly where this challenge comes in.
A concrete example: approaches to automated document analysis or intelligent decision support promise great added value, but cannot be evaluated on a sound basis without functional prototypes. What is missing is a structured space in which ideas can be tested, further developed and validated – before a decision is made on implementation.
As an Innovation Fellow, you will close this gap. Together with the INNO team at FEDRO, you will set up an AI prototyping sandbox and develop functional prototypes that systematically enable innovation. Your contribution will create a sound basis for decision-making and strengthen the capability to implement AI-based solutions at FEDRO.
